Progressive Die Stamping of an Aluminum Heat Sink for the Automotive Industry

At Royal Die and Stamping, we are proud to be an ISO9001:2008 company because it speaks to our efficiency and quality.

To meet an automaker's need for a top-notch aluminum component, we custom stamped a 3003 H14 aluminum heat sink for use in a rear-light automotive assembly.

We handled the design and manufacturing of the tooling as well as the progressive die stamping on our 200-ton press.

Each part weighed .150 lbs (.068 kg) and measured 144.8 mm (5.7") long, 29.5 mm (1.16") wide and 49.5 mm (1.94") high as well as meeting the tightest tolerances of ±.1 mm (.003") and ±1.5mm.
